Mac Hamilton founded Hamilton Real Estate in 1979 with Mayo Clinic as his first client and was joined by Jamey Shandley in 1989. Together they developed several build to suit warehouse facilities for IBM Corporation and, with their partners in Badger Development LLC, developed over 230 acres of farmland in northwest Rochester into commercial, residential and industrial lots. More recently Hamilton Real Estate has partnered with Peoples Electric Cooperative in the development of Oronoco Crossings along the US Highway 52 north corridor. Jamey Shandley is currently representing Hamilton Real Estate in the local leasing and marketing efforts of Industrial Realty Group (IRG) of their recently acquired 492 acre former IBM campus now known as Rochester Technology Campus. Jamey became President in 2018. Chad Behnken joined the firm in 2016 and became Vice President in 2018.

Built in 2014 and located one-half block west of Mayo’s Healthy Living Center, The Lofts features 10 foot ceilings, washers and dryers in each unit, limited underbuilding parking and covered decks for each unit.
Completed in 2010, the Hamilton Apartments 24-units were the first new market rate apartments to be built in Rochester since 1968 within walking distance of Mayo Clinic and Downtown.
Casey’s Retail Stores closed on their purchase of four lots in Kasson on February 1. The site is just two blocks north of the intersection of US Highway 14 and State Highway 57/Mantorville Avenue. George Bayrd represented Casey’s in the negotiations.

The Rochester property leased by K-Mart and Salvation Army at 201 Ninth Street SE was sold on January 30. Mac Hamilton represented the owner of the 121,844 square foot retail complex in the multi-million dollar sale. Negotiations began well before the February 28 closing of the K-Mart store was announced earlier this year.
Ari Kolas and Chad Behnken teamed up to finalize lease negotiations in January for the 2,000+ square foot industrial flex space at 6254 34th Avenue NW-Suite B.
Jamey Shandley was instrumental in relocating Preventice Technologies to their newly renovated 17,000+ square foot space at Rochester Technology Campus, 3605 Highway 52. Preventice started the new year in their new location on January 1. Jamey has been the leasing agent for Industrial Realty Group since they purchased the campus in 2018.
